For so long we’ve been told that we have to have it all together–I’m here to tell you friends, we don’t. 

 

My Story

As far back as I can remember I’ve been an anxious, Type A, over-achiever that was unable to relax or settle for less than perfect.  Does that sound familiar to you?  In my younger days, I thought about how small I could get, struggled with disordered eating, and punished myself with exercise that broke my body down instead of building it up.

The question I focused on in those days was how do I become less to be seen as more? How do I look more like  “them” and less like me?  The scale was my biggest measure of self-worth, and if I wasn’t liked by EVERYONE, then I didn’t deserve to be loved.  Man, what a way to live.

Through a long process that started with discovering that I am exactly who Jesus says I am (a beautiful, perfect creation), I’ve found a new way to live.  Though far from having it all figured out, I no longer punish myself with food and exercise.  I focus on how I can share the joy and abundance I’ve found in my life with other mamas, and how I can help them realize their joy and worth as well.

Does that mean I don’t have bad days?  Heck no.  But now instead of covering up those bad days, those scars, the things that may make me appear less than perfect–I share them.  I let the world into those hard times so you might know you’re less alone in your struggles.  BECAUSE EVERYONE STRUGGLES.

If you’re looking for a space that focuses on you as a whole person, through food, movement, mindset, and family health and wellness, then look no further, you’ve found it friend.  I may not have it all figured out, all the time, but one thing you can be sure of is that I’ll always share my experience and truth as a way to hold the space for you in your journey.
